World Mental Health day

We wore yellow today to remind ourselves about how important our mental health is and had a reminder workshop of the Suffolk Mind kitbag training we received earlier this year and their book Sammy the Seasquirt.  We remembered that we need to have our needs met, and how to use what's in our kitbag to help us when our needs aren't being met - like dragon breathing and talking to our friends and family.  We were reminded of the importance of keeping healthy, and a good night's sleep - how it's best to turn our screens off an hour before bed and take 10 minutes to read to improve our wellbeing.  We were reminded how we need to feel connected to people and have a sense of achievement to boost our mental health.

We followed the #Take10toread campaign by the National Literacy Trust, and learnt how 10 minutes of reading will help our mental health.  We watched online workshops in each class by authors such as Natalie Denny, AF Steadman and the author of Supertato!
